The original is still running & can be found here--->http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=464729 ---------- Matching Mole + Bond And Brown - 1972-07-01 'Rockenstock', Chalons, France (TFG-unclemeat) (I think that the filming took place in the studio at Château d'Hérouville near Paris...never heard of Chalons) This combines two TV shows : "Rockenstock" dated 01/07/1972 on the notes the FG gave me, and "Pop 2" dated 10/6/1972 (broadcast date). Therefore these seem to be two different performances, the second one being (according to the INA web site) from Paris, may 1972. Our DIMEr friend unclemeat got it digitized from the reels to mono WAVs (SEE BELOW). He also figured out most of the titles, as you see them here. The thanks for this should go to them. I converted them to 2-channel mono, SBE-fixed the files, and you hold in your digital hand the results. There were 5 numbered tracks, plus one unnumbered but labeled 'Matching Mole' that sounds like the continuation of the 5th track. I made that last one the 6th track, as it sounds like a continuation of GG+POTD. NOTES A nice old rare TV recording. There's a buzz/hummm in the background, whatchyagonnado. (If someone wants to & can tidy that up, feel free.) There's an announcer mixed in here on the beginning or end of some tracks. And he pops up again over the music (sigh) near the end of GG+POTDpt1. I left unclemeat's breakdowns here intact. - - - - DATE - ? The whole thing was listed as date of 1972-07-01. But the segment that sounds like GG+POTDpt2 was separately named with a date 1972-06-10. I dunno, maybe the event happened on 06-10 and got aired on 07-01? Just relaying to you what infos I see. For lack of further facts now, I'm sticking with the 07-01 date. - - - - The main pt1 MM segment is also available here (less humm but top frequencies gone): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyPNZiFJyS0 Priceless - RW in a mask!; I agree with a poster there - Bob is a genius. (The clip also lists the 1972-07-01 date.) ---------- --------- ---------- --------- above is original accumulated info edit notes: -reduced the hum & buzz -cleaned up the odd loud pop Most of the show was almost drop free. The last track GG+POTDpt2 in dispute in the writing above is clearly inferior & had many flat/dead spots in the first 1:30, some which I repaired(suggesting a different reel?).Who knows........ I retracked close to the original track timings. Anyways, this is really quite good sounding without the hum/buzz. Thnx to TFG, unclemeat & jschmoe for the go on this little gem. Samples included. enjoy, bluebomber 2014
