ARTWORK N/A SOURCE / LINEAGE Stereo AUD trade tape Trade tape > Computer WAV > CDR > EAC v0.99 > TLH v2.4.1 > FLAC 8 > DIME > you Big thanks to the original taper, and to the trader (JBK?) who hooked me up with a copy. I dunno when I mastered this; at any rate, I no longer have the original WAVs. This source came from that final mastered CDR, extracted via EAC / reports included. My notes do say the right channel was low & I bumped it up to make it more balanced. Besides that, I think the only thing I did on the computer was place track marks before each piece. This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not need SBE corrections. NOTES Snakefinger typically named his band & would often change it up from night to night. For this show I didn't hear a name (or the tape didn't catch it), he just said they're "not the Residents". He often introduced the band onstage, but didn't this night (or the tape didn't catch it). - - - - It's stereo, but there's minimal separation. Yeah, oh well, but it's Snakefinger manna, so you eat dontcha. Sounds like there's some azimuth problems too, but it was like that on the source tape. For what I've found to date, it's his first post-heart attack show / first show of the late 1981 tour captured on tape. It's an unusually long show, & it feels like a first gig - band timing's not quite in sync at times, but the second half is tighter. And there's some bozos in the audience that get ol' Snakey a bit riled up / he has a few comments for them. Not the best show, but ya gotta preserve it for posterity. - - - - Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it. - - - - Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long). Two filenames have "QM" in the name, as a question mark isn't allowed in names. Nowadays I try to avoid the "+" in names, because it causes some folks problems; track 16 has it, so rename it if you're one of them. I mark the start of tracks when the music or count-in begins, not the talking about it before it starts. - - - - The usual schmack applies here: Please don't post this anywhere but DIME.
