ARTWORK N/A SOURCE / LINEAGE Stereo FM? trade tape Trade tape > Computer WAV > CDR > EAC v0.99 > TLH v2.4.1 > FLAC 8 > DIME > you Big thanks to the original taper, and to the trader (Gregg?) who hooked me up with a copy. I originally mastered this 2002-07-25 but no longer have the original WAVs. This source came from the 2002 final mastered CDR, extracted via EAC / reports included. I think the only thing I did on the computer was place track marks before each piece. This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not need SBE corrections. NOTES PART 2 OF A TWO-FER (Part 1 was an interview earlier that day) I don't know the venue, that was not provided when I got my copy. (In the pre-show interview they mention either "Islands" or "The Island", and I wonder if that's the name of this venue?) - - - - Snakefinger typically named his band & would often change it up from night to night. For this show he calls them "the Dead Residents". He often introduced the band onstage, but didn't this night (or the tape didn't catch it). - - - - This is either an FM broadcast or a soundboard; there's some tape speed problems at times, muddiness & hiss, but overall it's nice. For an FM / SBD, it's not the greatest, but it's better than many & hey it's Snakefinger / it's the music that counts baby. This was a great show, and you get to hear some Manual Of Errors tracks in early trial runs incl. Private Universe / The Life On Nebulov. - - - - Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it. - - - - Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long). One filenames has "QM" in the name, as a question mark isn't allowed in names. Nowadays I try to avoid the "+" in names, because it causes some folks problems; track 15 has it, so rename it if you're one of them. I mark the start of tracks when the music or count-in begins, not the talking about it before it starts. - - - - The usual schmack applies here: Please don't post this anywhere but DIME.
