This should be an upgrade to most. It is the best copy that I have heard so far. Of course, if you have better . . . share it. A couple of things . . there is a cut within 'My Human Gets Me Blues' and there was a tape flip during 'Drumbo's Tapdance'. There are some click and pops on the latter part of the tape. That is how my tape is. I do not "clean up" recordings ( although I will correct spped issues, none here ), just simple raw transfers. Anyhow, the extra noises are not that bad at all, just mentioning it. Ok . . . . Overall sound quality is very good. As far as 1975 Beefheart tapes go, it is one of the better sounding for sure. The first song 'Moonlight On Vermont' is a little bit rough soundwise, but everything quickly settles in and the rest of the show sounds great. The performance is pretty excellent and the vocals are loud and clear. I know many fans really like this show, largely due to Don's vocals throughout the performance. He makes it quite clear that he is not happy with the p.a. system, but despite that, he really give it his all. A very exciting listen for sure. The 'Orange Claw Hammer' here is really swell. Elliot whips out some nice licks during 'Natchex Burning', followed by a smokin' slide solo by Denny. Excellent stuff. Lots of good banter with the crowd here. Enjoy the show. NEVER FOR SALE.
