The Residents Volkspark, Mainz, Germany July - 08 - 1999 Mainzer Zeltfestival 1999 ---------- ---------- ---------- from MILAVALENTI collection # 085 ---------- ---------- ---------- The MILAVALENTI collection consists mostly of 80's and some 90's and 2000's masters in generally great sound. Most of the concerts which will be uploaded from this collection are uncirculated. I met the taper who is an old friend of mine recently after more than 20 years. He was happy to give me his very precious gems to be presented to a wider public. In the 80's I often went to concerts with him and sometimes both of us were recording. So some of the recordings which will be uploaded have been uploaded by me before as of my masters collections and some of his recordings which had been uploaded by me already as first gen copies will now be re-uploaded as master transfers. The musical style varies from "normal Rock acts" to Wave/Punk and Avantgarde. Also some German Post-Punk acts are included. Recording equipment: AIWA HD-S 200 DAT with OKM 01 Soundman Rec. Info: dat master (2 wav-files) -> Magix Audio & Music Lab (edit/remaster) -> FLAC -> DIME Ex- sound after some minor EQ was done. Audience noise between tracks reduced. Sound level adjusted. Great recording and the sound is nearly sbd (as with many recordings by MILAVALENTI). The show was arleady on dime but I guess that this version here is uncirculated. The show is consisting of 2 sets, the first set ending with track 14. The last track (27) is cut after 53 seconds. According to the memory of MILAVALENTI approx. 3 to 5 min. are missing due to empty accu. Also the other recording has a cut after 2:22 min. recording length: 117:06 min. The new Abraham & David segment pieces were said to have various titles at the time of the tour / before the Wormwood Live CD came out. The Wormwood Live CD clears this all up by... conveniently just calling it all "Abraham" & "David"; I chose to break them out. Following that logic, "Bridegroom Of Blood" should've just been named "Moses" on the Wormwood Live CD - but no. Now that that's all clear, call 'em what you want, just don't call me later for dinner.
