Please note this is a re-seed of the previous version WITHOUT the official released material noted below Smile Well things happen in life, today (5th) I went to a very close friends fathers funeral in the day (91 yrs old) , I've known them for 40 years. Then I went to celebrate a good friends 60th birthday. Now I send this to those of us that remember Frank. The whole day very sobering, quite literally, and the common denominator folks.......all 3 events are a celebration of the life of human beings that have touched us in some way. (no before you think it I'm not a religious person). So I write and seed this in a state of mind somewhat in turmoil. Now for the usual: ================================================================================= Well that time of year again, always leaves me very sad and positively emotional to know that Frank left us here while on a forever tour out of our reach. The family trust are doing their bit by starting the "40 year of" set going now.......yep mines on the way. So I thought I'd dig amongst my vinyl boots (rare thing that) and bring out one of the boxes, and what better than this...the 10 year History one that in a different format Frank intended to release himself. This set was one of a few that I bought 23 years ago just before Xmas and just before getting engaged to MrsUMRK....that was close I can tell you all. £110 for this set and more for the other ones didn't go down so well...LOL. Anyway this set inspired me to begin a very serious collection of all the shows I could find...and here I am , and you are now. There are some fantastic hints of brilliant performances here and great inspiration for all to go out and get them ALL...I know i'm trying to. These tracks are exactly as they are on the vinyl with only minimal scratches taken out so as not to spoil anything ~ I have only played this box approximately 5 times ,including this transfer, in 23 years.....it's well preserved. I have provided 2 extra folders within this torrent of the statistic pics and data and more importantly perhaps a folder of the pics of the box and book........NOTE: it was passed onto me that a change of colour print of the box and/or book made this the only copy in this format.....I was told this almost 12 years after owning it and was not aware of that. NOPE folks it's not for sale........BUT I'm more than happy to share this seed with you all , treat it as an early Xmas present, and remember it cost me £110 (almost £450 in modern money) it's "Absolutely Free" here so waiting to grab such a large seed is no real problem. So finally for Frank, wherever you are, we all love you very much and everything you have given us "keep Frank in your hearts" (personal quote Steve Vai) enjoy folks ================================================================================= Info as follows: Frank Zappa 1962~1977 The History and Collected Improvisations of Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention Source: B+/A Lineage: Vinyl> Linn LP12 >Naim Pre-Amp NAC 82 >output 8~MAudio USB> SF8 vol adj only > flac front end Taped by: MrU Transferred by: MrU Transfer eng assist:SP Edited: MrU File Size: 2.54GB (FLAC) The MOI: Various from 1962~1977 Setlist: ZX-3651 A & B (Dark Blue Label) 1973 06 29 Festival Hall Melbourne 01 Exercise Four 02 Dog Breath 03 Dog Breath Variations 04 Uncle Meat 05 Montana 06 Fifty Fifty 07 intro to 08 Mudshark 09 Farther Oblivion ZX 3652 A (Sky Blue Label) New Jersey 1973 10 Pygmy Twylyte 11 Dupree's Paradise story 12 Dog Breath ZX 3652 B (Sky Blue Label) 1973 07 08 Hordern Pavilion Sydney 13 The Yellow Snow medley 14 Penguin In Bondage 15 Don't You Ever Wash That Thing ZX 3653 A & B (Orange Label) 1974 10 11 Vienna Austria 16 Token Of My Extreme intro 17 The Hook (inc~My Little Augustine ~Dixie) 18 Dupree's Paradise (inc~Louie Louie) 19 I'm The Slime 20 Pygmy Twylyte ZX3654 A (Pink Label) 1975 05 13 Kiel Auditorium St Louis MI 21 intro to 22 Apostrophe~band intro 23 Stinkfoot 24 I'm Not Satisfied 25 Carolina Hard core Ecstasy ZX3654 B (Pink Label) 1975 10 23 Music Hall Boston 26 You Can Swallow My Pride 27 Any Downer's (The Mother's Go Cosmic) 28 Camarillo Brillo 29 Muffin Man ZX3655 A & B (Red Label) 1974 07 19 Circle Star Theatre San Carlos CA 30 intro to 31 Gloria (watch out Ruthie) 32 intro to 33 Inca Roads 34 intro to 35 Pygmy Twylyte 36 Idiot Bastard Son 37 Cheepnis 38 intro to 39 clear version of Cheepnis ZX3656 A & B (Silver Label) 1975 04 11 Claremont College CA 40 A Token Of My Extreme~ band intro 41 Stinkfoot 42 Sleeping In A Jar 43 Poofter's Froth Wyoming Plans Ahead 44 Debra Cadabra 45 Florentine Pogen 46 intro to "Why Doesn't Somebody Get Him A Pepsi" otherwise 47 The Torture Never Stops ZX3657 A (Pale Yellow Label) Historic Material 1962~1968 ~Complete removal on account of official release material 48 I Was A Teenage Maltshop 49 Status Back Baby 50 Grunion Run 51 Ned The Mumbler 52 Ned Has A BrainStorm 53 Toads Of A short Forest 54 Charma (inc~intro) 55 Plastic People (inc~Ray Collins intro) 56 Gotta Find My Roogalator 57 How's Your Bird 58 The World's Greatest Sinner 59 Memories Of El Monte ZX3657 B (Pale Yellow Label) 1975 04 27 Music Hall Boston 60 Camarillo Brillo 61 Muffin Man 62 Let's Make The Water Turn Black 63 Willie The Pimp ZX3658 A (Bright Yellow Label) 1967 09 30 Konserthuset Stockholm Sweden 64 intro to 65 You Didn't Try to Call Me 66 Petroushka 67 Bristol Stomp 68 Baby Love 69 Big Leg Emma 70 intro to 71 King Kong 72 It Can't Happen Here ZX3658 B (Bright Yellow Label) 1974 12 31 Long Beach Arena CA 73 Pygmy Twylyte ZX3659 A & B (Cream Label) 1977 10 31 Halloween Palladium NYC 74 intro 75 San Berdino 76 Tryin' To Grow A Chin 77 City Of Tiny Lights 78 Big Leg Emma 79 Audience Participation Time 80 Black Page #2 81 Jones Crusher and outro 82 Camarillo Brillo 83 Black Napkins ZX3660 A & B (Green Label) 1976 01 24 Apollo Stadium Adelaide Australia 84 How Could I Be Such A Fool 85 Ain't Got No Heart 86 I'm Not Satisfied 87 Black Napkins 88 Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me 89 Illinois Enema Bandit 90 Workin' In A Gas Station 91 Tryin' To Grow A Chin 92 The Torture Never Stops abbreviations: tf = tapeflip [ = cut at the end ] = cut at the beginning ~ = fading in/out or connects two or more tracks played like one (medley) -IC = incomplete & = added from dif source, complete or partly credits: thanks to SP for invaluable assistance on tape transferral final notes for reference: 061025~061104....transferral date
