This is a reseed of a torrent I shared on Dime in 2008 as "Gong 1971-1972 Pop-Club french radio".
Woodland provided the correct date so, while the flac files have been kept intact, the folder name has been changed to the correct date.

Here it is again for those who didn't grab it on its first appearance.

This is one of the few early Gong non-Gas recordings in circulation.
It's a short recording from a french radio broadcast called "Pop Club".
I got this radio session with other material (this explains why the eac log has 10 tracks).

Maclen Jan 4th 2010 - torrent reseed shared on Dimeadozen. Please keep it lossless.

Le Pont De Ce

Lineage : Unknown. Audience, received in a trade. (106mins)

Sound Quality : You got to be joking, right!

OK - This is a bit of a mystery tape. A rare, but fuzzy one.
Calyx lists Gong as playing Le Bataclan in Paris on the date given for this gig.
I'd guess that the date given is too early. Holy Mystery & Ooby Scooby Doomsday would be later songs I'd think, but I might be wrong.
There is a place called Les Ponts-De-Ce, just south of Angers, France.
This is definitely not the same gig as the GAS Tape "Live In Angers" though.

I hope someone here on Dime might shed a little light, although, given the sound quality, I wonder if its worth it.
Have I put you off yet?
If you're sitting comfortably, then , I'll begin ...

Most of the tracks are from Camembert Electrique & Flying Teapot, except Flute Salad from Angel's Egg, This is the classical line up from the Gong Trilogy, space effect from Tim Blake, space voices from Gilli Smyth, Bloom jumping sax, lyrics are delirious as usual with Daevid Allen ...
... If you know this band, just nothing to say
... If you don't and need some fun , just get a try ...

Have Fun !!!

note : virgin made a one off payment to the band in 1972 and never paid anything afterwards ... the only money get is direct from gas releases ... so if you planned to buy some Gong or Daevid Allen albums please buy direct to G.A.S : http://www.planetgong.co.uk/octave/gas/gasreleases.shtml

Date and venue confirmed by Daevid Allen's "Gong Dreaming 2" book (p. 287).
Show listed on PlanetGong and Calyx websites ("Full Moon Gig").
Stereo soundboard recording (received as radio).

- "Other Side OF The Sky" cuts in on intro.
- "Zero The Hero" cut with tape flip. Cuts back in on coda (disc 2).
- "Glid Before" cut at 1:36.

I have never seen Brest '74 here on Dime...
This is the famous Full Moon show where Daevid experienced a memorable acid trip on stage (see his "Gong Dreaming 2" book for more).
I'm glad to share this lossless version, another circulating version was definitely lossy (my copy had diginoise too).

Most of this ("Other Side" to "Fohat") appears in The Farm Tapes (worse quality, different sequence).
"Zero The Hero And The Witch's Spell" and "Fohat Digs Holes In Space" also appear in The Mushroom Tapes.

As there are no cuts between songs, I decided to leave "Zero The Hero" split across the two discs so disc 1 ends with the tape flip.

I got this tape transfer in a mail trade with a guy from San Diego who has a very huge cassette collection. He hasn't traded in the last 20 years so a lot of recordings haven't circulated in the digital trading pool yet.

A couple of bits were edited (silence and a loud beep after the cut in "Glid Before"). Hissy but it's a good stereo soundboard recording

The fact that there are 2 separate versions of Flute Salad > Oily Way > Outer Temple means that this must be more than one gig.

Great artworks, courtesy of Fastone - thanks !! (hope he can update the tray?

Quality: Definitely EX, possibly the best SQ Radio Bremen re-broadcast

This is a truly outstanding quality re-broadcast, bit rate, performance and SQ, which is a real upgrade over the FM version. Since I first posted this, Tomyoungster posted a great / longer pre-fm version, which sadly also included a released Rotterdam set and was thus banned.

Working from the times of the GAS release and the pre-fm tracks, it is clear that part of the pre-fm Inner Temple is not part of the lower quality (and slightly different mix) GAS set.

The pre-fm did need some work to get is successfully to to near the same SQ as the digital broadcast, which is also improved with a small phase offset, so what you have here is as much of the great music Dime allows.

Gong, Paris-Fr Bataclan 30 january 1976, FM master Pt1

Please, read the following notes (hope i'll can explain clearly).

A previous upload from a broadcast of this show was made by Hanwaker, the source was a cassette recorded by
Bulle75; this torrent is not on the tracker anymore.

Going through some 40 years old reels of mine, i recently discovered a recording of this show and tried to know if this could be kind of upgrade.
With the precious help of Finkployd49 and Urich21 (THE Canterbury man), i understood that France Musique radio station made 2 broadcasts of the Bataclan show : one was recorded by Bulle75 and another by me (some tunes took place on both radio shows).
Mine features the beginning of the show and Bulle's, the second part of the broadcasts.
I learned another thing : after the first upload made here, the files were given to a record label and published as a CD available, for example, on Amazon.

That's the reason why i can't do an upgraded version with all the songs broadcasted (so, i called this torrent "Pt1").

The setlist of "Pt2" previously torrented was :

01 Cat In Clark's Shoes (in progress, my version is longer)
02 Wingful Of Eyes
03 Bambooji
04 Isle Of Everywhere
05 Drum Solo
06 Get It Inner

The setlist on this "Pt1" torrent is :

01 Didier Malherbe spoken intro
02 Eat That Phone Book
03 Chandra
04 Love Is How Y Make It

How to get the complete broadcast if you don't have the previous torrent ? Just PM me.
For this upload : Tape on an Akai reel to reel deck, to Zoom H4, SD card to audacity (volume and tracks), FLAC (TLH).
Thanks again to all involved.

Thanks, dime, to be Charlie.
